Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a desired album or a desired track to be retrieved easily from a recording medium.
SOLUTION: When this retrieval device starts an album retrieval, an indication "For album ?" for urging a user to make a selection is displayed. When the user selects an album retrieval, an indication "By Title ?" for urging the user to make the selection of the title name retrieval of an album is displayed. When the user selects the title name retrieval, an indication "Keyword IN" for urging the user to input a keyword is displayed. When the user inputs a keyword "P" which is wanted to match the retrieval, a HD recording and reproducing device 300 retrieves the title name of the album which has the inputted keyword by referring to album name, track name data bases stored in a HDD 309. Then, the retrieval result is displayed and also highlight parts of tracks included in the album relevant to the retrieval result are reproduced successively from a track 1.
