To provide a retrieval system for information on storage/surplus medicine which can retrieve and offer the information on the stored medicines and surplus medicines in each drugstore even for a drugstore which is not provided with a terminal for retrieval, such as the personal computer.

This retrieval system for information on stored/surplus medicine is provided with a medicine information registering means which receives the information on the stored and surplus medicines in each drugstore a1-1n belonging to a pharmacist's association A from the facsimile of each drugstore and registers the information in a data base in such a way that the information can be retrieved at every drugstore and every kind of medicines, a medicine information retrieving means which receives retrieval requesting data on the medicine information from the facsimile and, recognizes the medicine to be retrieved contained in the retrieval requesting data, and retrieves the medicine information on the drugstore having the said medicine from the data base, and a retrieved result transmitting means which transmits the retrieved results of the retrieving means to the facsimile of the drugstore requesting the retrieval in real time.
