PURPOSE: To prevent a cable and the like from being damaged and disconnected by providing a connecting member having a cable hole through which a cable and the like are wired while let those creep along the rotating axial line of a robot joint section, and also providing a cover member entirely covering the area having the hazard of being in contact with the cable and the like.
CONSTITUTION: A cable and the like are wired and piped within a base stand 10, and are then wired and piped within a robot barrel 12 through the center opening section of a connecting member 34. In this case, in order to prevent the cable and the like 40 from being twisted and stretched as the robot barrel 12 is operated so as to be swiveled, the cable and the like are extened roughly along a rotating axial line a through the center opening section of the connecting member 34. Sorts of cables and tubes 40 are thereby prevented from being brought into contact directly with the connecting member 34 by a cover member 38 covering the connecting member 34.
