A steam generator 70 provided for jetting out steam inside a pot 11 with the lid body 31 closed is provided with a water supply tank 1 for storing water, a pump 72, a vaporizer 73 for generating steam, a water supply tube 74 for supplying water stored in the water supply tank 71 to the vaporizer 73 using the pump 72, and a steam outlet 75 jetting out the steam generated by the vaporizer 73 to the interior of the pot 11. Even if the lid body 31 is opened/closed during retaining the heat, this constitution supplies the steam to the boiled rice under heat retention so as to prevent drying of the boiled rice and constantly retain the boiled rice shiny.
