Abstract:
To provide a control device and a control method which can properly support driving by a rider of a lean vehicle.SOLUTION: An acquisition unit of a control device acquires peripheral environment information of a lean vehicle (100) on the basis of the output of a peripheral environment detection device mounted on the lean vehicle (100) or the wireless communication with another vehicle or an infrastructure facility. An execution unit of the control device executes a drive supporting operation of a rider according to the peripheral environment information. The acquisition unit acquires reference gap information being information of a reference gap (S) becoming a determination reference of safety or the possibility of the slip-through travel of the lean vehicle (100) on the basis of the travel posture information of the lean vehicle (100).
