To facilitate construction and to prevent penetration of rainwater by a constitution wherein the base of a ridge member of a clay tile roof is formed of a cushioning member in the shape of waves and further the ridge member is divided in two longitudinally and assembled into one body by fitting a connecting material in grooves formed in the ridge member.
A ridge member 20 composed of a main body part 21 and a cushioning side part 23 is divided into two components 21A and 21B in the direction of length and the base of the cushioning side part 23 is formed in the shape of waves, while a part in the width direction of a connecting material 25 is embedded in one component and a projecting part thereof is fitted in a groove 31 formed in the other so that the member be assembled into one body. According to this constitution, construction of a clay tile roof is facilitated and the base of the cushioning side part can be made to conform surely to the wave shape of a pantile and fits close thereon without causing a gap. Therefore penetration of rainwater can be prevented reliably.
