To obtain a ring laser-type gas sensor which can be miniaturized, whose sensitivity can be increased and whose sensitivity can be stabilized.
A ring-type optical resonator 7 which can be laser-oscillated by pumping power using an optical-fiber amplifier 3 is constituted in such a way that an optical coupler 1, an optical isolator 2, the optical-fiber amplifier 3, a gas cell module 4 and a band-pass filter 5 are connected by an optical fiber 6 to be a ring shape. In addition, a section in which only the gas cell module 4 exists is installed between the input port P2 of the resonator 7 and the optical fiber amplifier 3. Alternatively, a section in which only the gas cell module 4 and the band-pass filter 5 exist is installed between the input port P2 of the resonator 7 and the optical-fiber amplifier 3, and, in the section, the optical-fiber amplifier 3, the band-pass filter 5, the gas cell module 4 and the optical coupler 1 are arranged in this order from the side of an output port P3. Alternatively, a section in which the above optical components other than the optical fiber 6 are not arranged is installed between the input port P2 of the resonator 7 and the optical-fiber amplifier 3.
