Abstract:

PURPOSE: To easily find a position of each component storage part of a palette by converting position data, which are arrayed in a checkered pattern, into data which are a part of position data arrayed in a lattice shape, and controlling a robot by using the converted data.
CONSTITUTION: After the position data 2A which are arrayed in the checkered pattern are converted into the data which are part of the position data arrayed in the lattice shape, the data after the conversion are used to calculate the coordinates of the respective position data in the checkered pattern by using a calculating method for the respective position data in the lattice shape. Namely, component storage parts having position number '0' and '4' among component storage parts 2A arrayed in the checkered pattern are converted into position numbers '0' and '8' of component storage parts 2A arrayed in the lattice shape. Consequently, those data can be handled as position data on respective component storage parts in the conventional lattice-shaped array state.
