Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make aligned box packing of articles without gaps in a narrow inserting space and minimize deformation of the objects put in the box.
SOLUTION: A robot for box packing of objects has a special structured pinching hand to hold the objects pinchedly. The pinching hand is shaped a square cylinder with the forefront left open and has a stationary part 1A and a movable part 1B inclined relative to the stationary part 1A so that the opening at the forefront can be opened and closed. The square cylinder of the pinching hand 1 has two adjoining surfaces to serve as the stationary part 1A and remaining two surfaces as the movable part 1B, and further the two adjoining surfaces of the pinching hand are projected so that an inserting projection 1C is formed, which is projecting so as to heighten toward the corner of the two adjoining surfaces. The movable part 1B is coupled with an opening/ closing cylinder 5 and opened and closed thereby to pinch the object.
