Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make a robot small and low cost by arranging a hand for mold and crucible constituting with one pair of the bar-like members and a hand for ingot as the robot hand.
CONSTITUTION: A holding part 9 is fitted to a robot wrist 6 and the hand 7 for mold and crucible is fitted through a side wall part 10 thereof. One pair of the bar-like members 14 mutually faced to this hand 7 are arranged so as to be rotatable. A bending part for insert-holding the crucible is arranged at the end part of the bar-like member 14 and a columnar insert-holding tool 12 for insert-holding a mold handle 11 is arranged at the intermediate part. Further, connecting rods 16 are fitted so as to be rotatable to the other end of each bar-like part 14 through connecting shafts 15'. By working an air cylinder 18, the bar-like members 14 are opened/closed. The hand 8 for ingot is fitted to the side wall part 10 of the holding part and the gold ingot is insert- held with parallel chucks 19, opening/closing plates 20 and plate-like insert- holding tools 21. By this method, multi-works in casting can be executed in a short time.
