To provide a waiting service system by a robot especially requiring no space by performing a waiting service using a small robot.
When a visitor 11 sits in a chair 2 of a table 1, the robot 10 goes there and takes a menu order. The robot recognizes visitor's voice or reads a food ticket, and transmits order entry information about a menu name, amount or the like to a management controller 6. The management controller 6 prepares management information based on the order entry information and displays it on a monitor 8. The monitor 8 displays a present state of each seat in a store. Dishes from a kitchen 3 are delivered to a robot management control space 5, and an operator 7 puts the dishes on a tray section of the robot, and specifies a seat number. The robot carries the dishes to a specified seat, and the visitor brings down the dishes from the tray section and starts eating them. In the meal, the robot performs an attraction such as singing or dancing arbitrarily or in response to a visitor's request.
