Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a robot which is excellent in accuracy of work and excellent in reliability of action.SOLUTION: A robot includes a robot body which contains a body, an elevating part (connection part) connected to the body, a pair of articulated arms connected rotatably to the body, a base (stage) 210 equipped with a support part 215 for supporting the elevating part, an exterior 216 for covering the support part 215, and a ventilation hole 217 which allows ventilation between outside and inside of the exterior 216, and an elevating mechanism (moving mechanism) which moves the body in such a manner as it approach or separates from the base 210. It also includes a robot control device (electric circuit part) 900 for controlling operation of the robot body. The base 210 includes a hollow part (housing part) 219 capable of housing a part of the elevating part when the body is lowered to approach the base 210, inside the exterior 216, and the robot control device 900 is provided between the exterior 216 and the hollow part 219.
