PURPOSE: To enable extremely thinning metallic foil by rolling.
CONSTITUTION: In a roll and device for rolling foil, a roll 20 for rolling foil is constituted by mounting plural ultrasonic vibrator transducer body 12 along the circumferential and axial directions of a working roll 11 through vibrating shafts 13 and fitting a sleeve 23 on the outer circumference, and a device 30 for rolling foil is constituted by arranging a rolling mill 31 in which these rolls 20 for rolling foil are incorporated on the upstream side and, on the other hand, arranging a finishing mill 41 in which working rolls 42 are incorporated on the downstream side. When rolling a metal, the surface of the roll 20 for rolling foil is made to vibrate to foil 15 with the ultrasonic vibrator transducer, lubricating oil 16 is made to easily enter between this foil 15 and the rolls 20 for rolling foil and frictional resistance is reduced.
