PURPOSE: To obtain the rolled type film capacitor provided with the structure in which an impregnant can be applied thinly and uniformly at high speed by a method wherein, in a film capacitor containing a rolled body, the impregnant is applied by vapor deposition to a metallized film.
CONSTITUTION: The title rolled type film capacitor is formed by rolling an impregnant 15-applied long-size metallized film 11. The impregnant 15 is applied to the film 11 by vapor-deposition. Even when a plastic film which is non-affinity for a liquid impregnant is used as the base layer of the film 11, the impregnant can be thinly and uniformly adhered easily. As a result, a rolled type film capacitor equipped with a structure with which the impregnant is thinly and uniformly applied can be obtained.
