Abstract:
To provide a method for allowing repair of a raceway surface having damage, such as wear or exfoliation, without forming a stock allowance in advance in a surface layer of a raceway surface of a bearing ring.SOLUTION: An overlay is formed to cover or seal a site to be repaired 12 of an inner ring raceway 4a by irradiating the site to be repaired 12 with a laser 11 and supplying a powder flux 10 to the site to be repaired 12. Thereafter, an outer peripheral surface of a substrate 7 including the overlay is subjected to polishing processing over the whole circumference to form a new inner ring raceway.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
