To provide a rolling oil which hardly causes the adhesion of a metal material to a rolling roll even in severe lubricating conditions and little produces roll coating.

The rolling oil having a dynamic viscosity of 75 to 150 mm2/s at 40°C is characterized by comprising the following components A and B, wherein the amount of the component A is ≥35 mass% based on the total amount of the rolling oil. The component A: a mineral oil having a dynamic viscosity of ≥300 mm2/s at 40°C, a viscosity index of ≤50, and a density of ≥0.89 at 15°C, and the component B: at least one of mineral oils and ester compounds which each has a dynamic viscosity of 10 to 40 mm2/s at 40°C and has a distillation final point of ≤600°C.
