PURPOSE: To bake tiles in the same manner as a conventional Japanese tile in spite of a plate tile, and to display volume feeling different from a Western plate tile.
CONSTITUTION: An eave-shaped projection section 13 is formed at one side edge of a tile body 1, a receiving section 17, on which the eave-shaped projection section 13 is placed and caught, is shaped at the other side edge, and a continuous connecting edge section 15 continuing to the projection section 13 is formed at the other side edge. Consequently, projecting banks 21 along the direction of a flow are formed at both left and right side edges of each roofed roofing tile A1, and each projecting bank is disposed so as to be positioned toward the centers of the plate sections 11 of each roofing tile existing in upper and lower sections in the direction of the flow. Flow diverting projections 23 diverting rainwater to the left and the right are shaped near front ends on the top faces of the plate sections 11 in each roofing tile A1, thus preventing the collision with the projecting banks 21 and obstruction of the flow of rainwater.
