Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a room antenna having receiving sensitivity in the back-and- forward and right-and-left directions by simple constitution without requiring large occupied volume.
CONSTITUTION: An antenna supporting column 2 is fixed on the center part of an antenna base 1 and a parabolically formed antenna holding member 3 is mounted on the column 2. A T-shaped groove is formed on the back of the member 3 and UHF dipole antennas 5a, 5b are embedded and fixed into the groove. in addition, VHF rod antennas 7a, 7b are fixed on the base 1. One of signals received by these antennas 5a, 5b, 7a, 7b is selected by an antenna changing switch, extracted to the external through a coaxial cable 11 and branched to a VHF or UHF signal by a branching filter 12 and the VHF or UHF signal is led into a television receiver through a VHF or UHF feeder 13 or 14. When the antennas 5a, 5b are curved in the back-and-forward direction, directivity having sensitivity in the back-and-forward and right-and-left directions is obtained.
