Title:
ROOT-SPECIFIC GENE RESPONDING TO STRESS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3731048
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stress-responsive gene of a rice plant, a gene functionally equivalent to the gene and a protein which are encoded by these genes and to create a stress-responsive plant by utilizing these genes.
SOLUTION: The present inventors succeeded to clone the stress-responsive gene RSI1 of the rice plant. The inventors found that it is possible to create the stress-responsive plant by utilizing the gene functionally equivalent to the gene. The gene is useful in fields of breeding, etc., of plants.
