Title:
ROTARY DAMPER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3642356
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To try to make the device small in size and light in weight by extremely lessening parts formed by machining in number, and concurrently reducing excessive wall thickness with no constraint applied to shapes and strength in the rotary damper.
SOLUTION: Damping force generation mechanisms 25 and 26 and a temperature compensation mechanism 51 are housed in respective discrete guide pipes 4 and 5 different from a housing 1 provided with working oil chambers 21a, 21b, 22a and 22b, a communication flowpath is formed by the guide pipe in which the damping force generation mechanisms 25 and 26 are housed, and meanwhile, the housing 1 and the respective guide pipes 4 and 5 are held by two side panels 9 and 10 so as to be formed into a casing 12. And the working oil chambers 21a, 21b, 22a and 22b which repeat expansion and contraction in the housing 1 and the temperature compensation mechanism 5 are communicated with oil passages 52 and 53 formed in the two side panels 9 and 10.
