Title:
ROTARY ENCODER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02222810
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable transmission of an output signal at a low cost and in a long range with a larger allowable variation range of a feeder voltage by providing a power source section with a noise filter to use a shield case with an optical conversion of an output signal line. CONSTITUTION:The apparatus is so arranged to stabilize a voltage higher than that to be supplied to a rotary encoder (PLG) with a stabilizing power source 6 before it is passed through a noise filter (NF). An output of the PLG is converted into an optical signal with an electro-optic transducer and transmitted with an optical fiber 7 via an optical connector. The NF, stabilizing power source, optical connector and the electro-optic transducer are housed in a shield case 9. The NF bypasses a noise picked up with a power source line 5 to transmitted to the PLG to the case 9 or absorbed by an internal impedance in a line filter to reduce the noise at the output terminal remarkably. On the other hand, as it is an optical signal path, an output signal transmission path in noway picks up the noise and moreover an EMI in the perimeter of the PLG is shielded by the case 9 to minimize an inflow of the noise to the PLG circuit.
