Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent the accumulation of gas between seal rings and well lubricate the seal rings by a construction wherein annular groove formed at the end surface of the outer seal ring of two seal rings provided concentrically is communicated to a suction passage. CONSTITUTION:A rotary piston 4 is simultaneously revolved and rotated about the revolving center and rotating center eccentric to the revolving center. The revolving angular velocity and rotating angular velocity during movement are designed to be equal in absolute value and opposite in direction. The outer and inner seal rings 24 and 24' are concentrically provided near the outer periphery of the end surface of the piston 4 and an intermediate chamber 258 is disposed between both the rings 24 and 24'. Lubricating oil is supplied or drained to or from the chamber 258 through openings 235 and 235'. The annular groove 259 formed at the end surface of the ring 24 is communicated with a ring retaining groove 262 and a fluid reservoir 19 through communicating holes 264 and 265. As the fluid reservoir 19 is opened to an outer peripheral surface 7 and always not subject to high pressure, so the lubricating oil pressure within the chamber 258 is higher than the pressure within the groove 259 and as a result the inflow of leaked gas into the chamber 258 is prevented.
