PURPOSE: To provide a rotary roll installing method and its device which can prevent a damage at the roll side and at the device side generated when the rotary roll is installed to a specific working device, can make it possible to install automatically the rotary roll to the working device, and can respond also to a roll with different diameter.
CONSTITUTION: Both ends of a rotary roll 14 are held by roll hands in the condition movable upward, and after that, the rotary roll 14 is moved to a specific working position by the roll hands. In this case, the axial center of the center hole of the rotary roll 14 is stopped at the position a little lower than the axial centers of center pins 64 and 65, and then, a pair of center pins 64 and 65 provided near the working place are inserted to the center hole of the rotary roll 14 so as to hold the rotary roll 14 through pins from both end sides.
