PURPOSE: To enable high-efficiency electromagnetic conversion to be realized, by making a rotor and a stator composed of a lower highpermeability magnetic film, a thin-film coil formed through an insulating material on the lower magnetic film, and side-wall high-permeability magnetic films formed to insert the coil on both sides of the coil.
CONSTITUTION: A rotary trans former 13 consists of a rotor 3 and a stator 2 which are formed on a cylinder 4 by direct patterning method using thinfilm forming and processing technology. Respective channels 13a and 13b are formed concentrically with the rotation axis of a rotary cylinder 4. Each channel 13 is composed of a lower high-permeability magnetic thin film core 14, a conductor coil 9 formed through an insulating material 15 on the high-permeability magnetic thin film 14, and side-wall high-permeability magnetic thin films (cores) 8 which are formed to insert the conductor coil 9 with one-sided ends (lower or upper ends) being connected with the lower high-permeability magnetic thin film 14 and with both the other-sided ends being isolated to each other. Hence, highefficiency electromagnetic conversion can be realized.
