Title:
ROTOR OF SQUIRREL-CAGE INDUCTION MOTOR AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3180691
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the brazing time, need no technology, and increase the reliability by replaced brazing by forming recessed or projecting sections on an end face of a rotor bar which is in contact with an end ring along the short side of the end face of the rotor bar to bring the rotor bar into line contact with the end ring.
SOLUTION: In an end face of each of a plurality of rotor bars installed in a rotor, recessed or projecting sections are formed along the short side of the end face of the rotor bar and therefore the entire surface of the end face has a small corrugated shape. The rotor bar 1 and the end ring 2 are brought into three-line contact with each other. A groove 8 for brazing formed on the surface of the end ring 2 is formed by lathe machining, and therefore the groove 8 is formed in the entire periphery of the end ring 2. Therefore, after the brazing is finished, fillets are formed on the side face of the rotor bar 1 due to the groove 8 for brazing and stress is not concentrated in one place. As the recessed and projecting sections with a corrugated shape, are formed on the end face of the rotor bar, brazing material permeates into brazing gaps evenly.
