Abstract:
To provide a route setting device and route setting method capable of preventing a user from feeling inconvenience by shortening a distance for a user to walk to a boarding position when the user is allowed to board on an automatic operation vehicle at a predetermined place by moving the automatic operation vehicle to a predetermined place.SOLUTION: A route setting device 2 includes: a main route setting section 10 for setting a main route from a departure place to a destination by way of a first boarding position; an other boarding position setting section 12 for detecting an object person on the basis of a captured image generated by a camera when waiting at the first boarding position, and setting a second boarding position on a side closer to a position of an object person when detecting the object person first after standby than to the first boarding position; and a sub-route setting section 13 for setting a sub-route leading to a main route, by way of the second boarding position, from the main route. A position closer to a place where it is assumed that a user is waiting than to the first boarding position is adopted as a position where an automatic operation vehicle is to stop.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
