Abstract:
To provide a rubber composition having improved resistance to reversion and great tear strength, and useful for tire tread, etc.
A cured rubber composition comprising a sulfur cured rubber selected from the group comprising natural rubber, polychloroprene, polybutadiene, polyisoprene, butyl rubber, EPDM, styrene/butadiene copolymer, acrylonitrile/butadiene/styrene terpolymer, and a mixture thereof, and about 0.1-about 10phr N,N'-bis(hydroxyphenyl) maleic amide shown by the formula is prepd. This modified rubber shows improved resistance to reversion and great tear strength.
