Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a rubber composition which can give a tire improved in antiskid effect. CONSTITUTION:A rubber composition prepared by mixing rubber particles in a matrix prepared by mixing usual compounding agents, wherein the carbon black content in the rubber particle is at most 200 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. rubber, the total of an amount which is 1.4 times larger than the amount of the carbon black added to the rubber mixed with the matrix and the softener content in the rubber particle is nearly equivalent to the softener content in the matrix, and the rubber particles are dispersed in the form of vulcanized rubber particles of a diameter of 500 mesh, and the content of the vulcanized rubber particles is 5-30wt.% based on the rubber composition. This composition can give a tire tread having a high antiskid effect on an iced road surface, not injuring the road surface, and having an abrasion life nearly equivalent to that in the case of running on a usual road surface.
