CONSTITUTION: The outer appearance of a rubber polishing material 1 is columnar and its marginal part is chamfered, and a columnar part 2 and tapered parts 3, 3 contracted in diameter toward both end parts of the columnar part 2 are formed. Length m1, m2 of the tapered parts 3, 3 is longer than length l of the columnar part 2. Additionally, cut fiber 5 and abrasive powder 6 are scattered in its foaming rubber base material 4, and a part of them is exposed on the surface. The fiber direction of the cut fiber 5 is in the state arranged in order along the longitudinal direction of the rubber polishing material 1.
