Title:
RUGGEDNESS IMPARTING METHOD TO SURFACE OF WIRE ROD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH057962
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To impart ruggedness to the surface by holding a liquid and a solid body whose specific gravity is lighter than that of the liquid in a vessel opened to the center axis direction of a revolution by centrifugal force of a revolution motion, so that the solid body comes into contact with a wire rod being on the center axis of the revolution by buoyancy caused by the revolution.

CONSTITUTION: A ruggedness imparting part 2 revolves centering around a steel wire rod 1. The inside of a cylinder 8 is divided into four by spacers 9, 10, 11 and 12 of a sector shape. In the respective spacers made by the spacers, working parts 13, 14, 15 and 16 corresponding to a solid body and water 19, 20, 21 and 22 corresponding to a liquid are contained. A material of the working part is made by casting a liquid resin into a mold and solidifying it. The tip part is hardened by mixing abrasive grains into the resin so that it comes into contact with the steel wire rod 1 and is made rugged. In such a way, ruggedness is led into the surface of the wire rod, wire drawability is improved, and adhesion of a clad layer of a clad wire can be enhanced. Also, descaling and cleaning of the surface can be executed.
