Abstract:
PURPOSE:To facilitate changing the running course by comparing and operating images of various equipments in a plant, which are preliminarily stored in a storage means, and images, which are mapped with a mapping means during running, to control the driving part of an unattended cart. CONSTITUTION:A running guide device 10 consists of a distance measuring sensor 11 of the mapping means which maps the environment in the front of the running course of the unattended cart including equipments in the plant, an image analyzer 12 of images obtained by this means, an operation processor 13 which sends signals to driving parts 8 and which control driving motors 6 and 7 of right and left driving wheels 4 and 3, and a memory 14. Before the unattended cart is run, a desired running course is taught to store mapping contents of environmental objects in the memory 14. When the unattended cart is run, the environment in the plant is mapped by the distance measuring sensor 11 and is analyzed by the analyzer 12 and is compared with the running map in the memory. Thus, obstacles, the running position, etc. are discriminated to control driving motors 6 and 7, and the unattended cart is run continuously while compensating the running position.
