In a rough terrain traveling vehicle 10 having an electric power steering device 24 in which an engine 12 is supported by a vehicle body frame 11, a steering shaft is rotatably mounted on the vehicle body frame 11, a steering wheel is mounted on an upper part of the steering shaft, and an actuator unit 77 is provided in the middle of the steering shaft, an electric motor 96 is provided on the actuator unit 77, and heavy articles such as a battery 76 and a muffler 69 are arranged on the side opposite to the vehicle width direction to the electric motor 96 with respect to the center line 185 of the vehicle body extending in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, and on the side opposite to the longitudinal direction of the vehicle to the electric motor 96 with respect to the engine 12.
