PURPOSE: To obtain a safety device for preventing occurrence of a trouble of a component or an accident by monitoring overheat of a positions in a gas cooking range.

CONSTITUTION: A temperature sensor 6 is mounted at a position where occurrence of a trouble is anticipated due to overheat of a component, etc., of a gas cooking range. A safety circuit 7 is operated by a signal from the sensor 6 to control a gas valve 2. Since the overheat can be prevented in response to individual conditions of the components of the range, there is no anxiety of the trouble, etc., of an implement and safety is improved.
