To improve safety by stopping an opening and closing door or reversing it to open in the case when a passenger is on an antislipping member of a step or in the case when the passenger holds only a grip rod by detecting it.

It is furnished with an opening and closing door 4 provided on a vehicle platform 2 and a fixed step 2d, a cylinder for door opening and closing 5 to drive the opening and closing door 4, grip rods 7, 8 provided on a side of the fixed step 2d or on the opening and closing door 4 and a grip rod sensor 9 to detect contact of the passenger with the grip rod. In the case when the passenger is detected by the grip rod sensor 9, driving of the cylinder 5 for door opening and closing 5 is stopped or reversed to open.
