PURPOSE: To provide safety scissors which prevents the foreign objects such as fingers from being interposed between the cutting edges of scissor blades by pivotally securing a pair of scissor blades while mutually confronting the insides so as to perform cutting by cooperating a pair of cutting edges.

CONSTITUTION: Scissors 10 are composed of both first and second scissor half parts 11 and 14 respectively provided with scissor blades 12 and 15 and ring handles 13 and 16. Besides, series of sharp cutting edges 18 and 19 are respectively formed at prescribed intervals on both the scissor blades 12 and 15. Further, series of dull non-cutting protrusions 20 and 21 are formed on both the scissor blades 12 and 15. On the other hand, both the cutting edges 18 and 19 are formed of obliquely cut upper edges 22 and 23 that straightly transverse to the flat bottom sides of both the scissor blades 14 and 15. Thus, the safety scissors can be provided so that the foreign objects such as fingers are prevented from being interposed between the cutting edges 18 and 19 of both the scissor blades 12 and 15.
