Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make an improvement of safety, by providing a built-in sensor, for detecting a gripping manner of the operator, within a grip portion of the handle, and making a switching action of the sensor through an elastic deformation of the grip portion with a flexibility partially provided.

CONSTITUTION: The walking tractor, in which an engine 2 is installed to a machine unit 1 and a work machine 3 is mounted, is used by operating a handle 4. Though a grip unit 7 is constituted by coating the point end part of a handle pipe 5 with an elastic material 6, between the handle pipe 5 and the elastic material 6, is constructed a sensor housing unit, and in its interior, is built-in a grip sensor 9 for showing a gripping manner of the operator. And the grip sensor 9, constituted by a lower electrode 11, a pressure sensing conductive rubber 12 and an upper electrode 13, induces a detection signal from a change of conductivity of the pressure sensing conductive rubber 12, respectively for cases with the grip unit 7 gripped and released by the operator, or for when normally operated and encountered a fault and the like, and makes the signal inputted to the control circuit, with the engine 2 driven or stopped operation.
