Abstract:

To secure the safety in a pressure type rice cooker for boiling rice under the state of pressure higher than normal by having a pressure regulating means if the pressure regulating means does not normally function.

The pressure type rice cooker capable of cooking under the high-pressure state has a plurality of atmospheric air releasing safety valves, separate from the pressure regulating means, for discharging steam from a through hole 5 bored in an inner lid 4 to a steam passage 6 penetrating the space between the bottom of a lid body 3 and the inner lid 4 in case the pressure regulating means does not normally function. The atmospheric air releasing safety valves are operated with the pressure higher than the normal cooking pressure but lower than the limit sealing pressure by the inner lid packing 8. An inclined wall 9b is formed as the atmospheric air releasing safety valve toward an opening end 9a with the maximum diameter in the position higher than the opening end to make an elastic packing material 9 to elastically close the through hole 5 communicating with the steam passage 6 or to make a sealing plug 20 to close a through hole 5' communicating with the steam passage 6.
