To provide a saline water treatment apparatus for sterilizing a large amount of saline water for a short time without generating a chlorine gas.
The flow rate of the saline water, which flows in the space between the outer electrode 4 and inside electrode 5 in a current passing pipe 4a, is measured by a measuring means 6 and pulse waves, which sterilize the saline water corresponding to the measured flow rate of the saline water and generate no chlorine gas, are operated by a control unit 7 to be applied across the outer electrode 4 and the inside electrode 5 through a power supply circuit 8 for a predetermined time. By this constitution, since the predetermined pulse waves are passed through the salie water flowing in the space between the outer electrode 4 and the inside electrode 5, the saline water can be sterilized without generating the chlorine gas and, since a plurality of the current passing pipes 4a, in which the outer and inner electrodes 4 and 5 are arranged, are provided side by side, a large amount of the saline water can be sterilized for a short time.
