PURPOSE: To improve the production efficiency of a steel strip and its quality, by providing a high speed cutting machine in a running line of the steel strip so as to cut its required part and guiding a cut piece to a branch line by a line selector guide.
CONSTITUTION: A required part in a steel strip 1 is cut by a high speed cutting machine 3, and a cut piece is fed to a line selector guide 6 by a pinch roll 4. The line selector guide 6 guides the cut piece to a branch line 5 to be fed to a load collecting station by a pinch roll 8. The steel strip, from which the cut piece is removed, is carried out in the direction of an arrow head in the drawing by returning an end of the steel strip again to a running line 2 by the ling selector guide 6. Consequently, the production efficiency is improved almost with no trouble of cutting and conveying the steel strip.
