Abstract:

PURPOSE: To realize the phase adjustment device processing a test signal in the same signal path as that in the usual mode and adjusting sampling of a video camera section and automatically an A/D conversion timing of a picture processing section and to realize the picture processing system obtaining higher picture quality.
CONSTITUTION: A vertical driver 26b is controlled in the test mode to stop read of an optical charge from a CCD 23, a test signal generating circuit 39 generates a test signal (pseudo picture element signal) synchronously with the transfer clock of a horizontal driver 26a, a signal mixer circuit 40 mixes a test signal with an idle read output signal of the CCD 23 to transfer the result to an S/H circuit and color separate circuit 24. A picture processing section 22 obtains phase error information from an A/D conversion level of the test signal, outputs the information to a video camera section 21, which shifts the phase of the test signal thereby adjusting the phase of an internal clock to obtain optimum A/D conversion state.
