PURPOSE: To make an amplifier in single stage and to stably hold the amplitude of a video signal constant against dispersion by subjecting the amplification factor of an amplifying means to negative feedback control in accordance with the output of a dispersal removing means.
CONSTITUTION: The video signal separated by a separating circuit 7 is amplified by a voltage controlled amplifier 13 and inputted to a de-emphasis circuit 9. The output of the circuit 9 is supplied to a dispersal removing circuit 10, and the circuit 10 supplies the video signal to a video signal output terminal 11 and a comparator circuit 14. Then, the circuit 14 compares a reference voltage outputted from a reference voltage generating circuit 15 with the amplitude of video outputted from the circuit 10. Based on the result, the amplification factor of the amplifier 13 is controlled, and negative feedback is executed so that the reference voltage can be equal to a voltage at the head of a synchronizing signal. Since the video signal output of the fixed amplitude can be supplied at all times, the amplifier 13 is made in single stage, and the amplitude of the video signal can be stably held constant against the dispersion of the amplifier 13.
