The slide scaffold 2 is supported through rolling type rollers 3, 4 having large diameter parts 3a, 4a and small diameter parts 3b, 4b between the scaffold main body 1 and it and advances and retracts by rolling of the rollers 3, 4. A slide stroke S of the slide scaffold 2 is set to be larger than a distance S1 at which the rollers 3, 4 roll for the scaffold main body 1. A depth dimension of the scaffold main body 1 is reduced while ensuring large slide stroke S.
