To provide a scale plate for cutter used for cutting a board such as a construction board and the like capable of preventing an accident such as a scar or injury at a finger or a hand caused by a repelling or sprung action of the cutter and further capable of performing a safe and positive use of the cutter by everybody.

This scale plate includes a cutter holder for fixing and holding a cutter and a guiding and restricting plate having the cutter formed with a groove segment with an arm part of the cutter holder and a hook-shaped stopper slidably fitted to each other along a longitudinal direction in an elongated plate so as to restrict a sliding and guiding operation of the cutter in a predetermined manner through the cutter holder.
