The proposed scanner is constituted such that light from a light source 16 is emitted onto an original 11 and its reflected light is led to a CCD 26. The scanner is provided with a 1st reflection means that reflects the reflected light from the original 11 along an outer circumference of a specific axial line, a reflection means that receives a reflected light from the 1st reflection means and reflects the reflected light in a direction of a specific axial line, and the CCD 26 that receives the reflected light from the 2nd reflection means.
