Title:
SCANNING PATTERN GENERATOR FOR BAR CODE SYMBOL READER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03214278
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To change the operation distance of an emitted laser beam by sending light beams to a reflection mirror and generating a scanning pattern by a rotary mirror.

CONSTITUTION: The rotary mirror 124 is mounted on an axis 126 so as to be rotated around an axial line during scanning. The mirror 124 is provided with light reflection coatings 140 and 142 on a surface extended at a certain angle to the axial line. Plural return mirrors 136 and 138 are arranged around the rotary mirror 124 and all direction patterns are generated. Thus, by changing the length of an optical path, the prescribed operation distance of a beam spot is changed during scanning. Thus, a close or distant symbol is read by the scanning pattern.
