Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide three-dimensional expansion gathers at the groin position of the surface sheet of a disposable diaper for preventing the leakage of urine by a simple method.
CONSTITUTION: A surface sheet 2 is constituted of a hydrophilic center surface material 15 arranged at the center area of a diaper and side surface materials 16, 16 arranged at both side areas in the width direction of the diaper. The center surface material 15 and the hydropholic side surface materials 16, 16 are overlapped, an elastic body is installed between them, the center surface material 15 is slit-cut to the proper length along the elastic body, and three- dimensional expansion gathers 6, 6 serving as weirs capable of prevent the lateral leakage of excreta along the longitudinal direction of the diaper are formed.
