Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent screw fluid machine from vibrating and galling, by providing a balance piston mechanism between a thrust bearing and a radial bearing on the discharge side. CONSTITUTION:The roller bearings 7 for bearing a radial and the ball bearings 8 for bearing radial and thrust loads are provided between a stuffing box 6 and shaft ends 4b of male and female rotors of the screw fluid machine. An inner wheel spacer 500 having and L-shape fixed to the shaft 4d and an outer wheel spacer 600 fixed to the box 6 are provided in each space between the bearing with the spacers facing each other to form a spacer 700. A lubricant acts through a hole 2a of a casing 2, a hole 6a of the box 6, and a hole 600b of the outer wheel spacer 600 into the chamber 700 between the spacers 500, 600 so that the inner wheel spacer 500 is forced toward the right at all times. Accordingly, the looseness of the bearings is excludes, the vibrations of the fluid machine can be prevented, and the galling due to the pressed male and female rotors can be avoided.
