Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the working efficiency by arranging a pair of clamps for holding a work and a screw tightening tool for carrying out the screw tightening for the work, onto a hand body fitted onto the top edge of a robot arm. CONSTITUTION:A compound hand 2 is installed at the top edge of the arm 4 of a robot 1, and the head 2 is shifted to a desired position by the proper revolution of the arms 3 and 4. A pair of work holding clamps 17 and 18 and a pair of screw tightening tools 40 and 41 for carrying out the screw tightening work for a work are installed onto the hand 2. The clamp 17 is regulated onto each stopper at three positions corresponding to the kind of the work by a cylinder block 21, and the work is nipped and fixed at a constant position by the shift of the clamp 18 by a cylinder block 22. After the work is fixed at a prescribed position, the guide shafts of a pair of screw tightening tools 40 and 41 in -form are shifted in the longitudinal direction, and the distance between the tools 40 and 41 is adjusted, and screw tightening for the work is carried out. Therefore, the work can be carried out by only one unit of robot, and efficiency can be improved.
