To provide a scroll compressor improving lubricity of a bearing by reducing gas refrigerant generated from lubricating oil of which pressure decrease at the bearing.
This compressor is provided with a fixed scroll and a rocking scroll provided in a hermetic vessel and mutually meshing to form a compression chamber between plate shape scroll teeth thereof, a thrust surface formed on a surface on an opposite side of the plate shape scroll tooth of the rocking scroll, and a frame including a thrust bearing pressed against and sliding on the thrust surface of the rocking scroll. Thrust bearing load which is press contact force of the thrust surface of the rocking scroll and the thrust bearing of the frame is made larger than zero and smaller than thrust gas load which is thrust direction component of compression load acting on the rocking scroll.
