Abstract:
To provide a removal device for a seal and a removal method for a seal, excellent in workability, which can easily remove a shaft seal fitted to a shaft hole part of a housing without detaching a rotating shaft.SOLUTION: A device main body 10 comprises a grip part 14, formed into a cylinder shape grippable, which is inserted into a shaft hole part 52a, and a biting part 15 in a nearly cylindrical shape formed integrally with the grip part 14. The biting part 15 has: a screw thread part 17 protruding toward an inner peripheral wall surface of the shaft hole part 52a; respective pairs of screw cutting parts 19a and 19b, 19c and 19d, 19e and 19f and 19g and 19h formed along notch grooves 18a, 18b, 18c and 18d in a vertical direction that crosses the screw thread part 17.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
